The trio of Maybach Music honcho Rick Ross, Tawanda Roberts (his sister) and Michael Lighty (his manager) are being sued by a United Kingdom promotional company for nearly 2 million dollars in damages after the star cancelled his 2011 concert in Nigeria.
UK-based company Zons P.R. who organized the business between Ross and Nigeria, filed the lawsuit in the Supreme Court of New York on July 3rd.
Ross was set to perform at the Star Mega Jam, a concert that has typically drawn 50,000 people since the year 2000. The concert is the largest in West Africa. Rick Ross was supposed to headline the concert on December 17th, 2011. According to the lawsuit, Zons P.R. negotiated with Tawanda Roberts on Ross’ behalf.
Zons P.R. sent $87,500 to the star which was deposited into his account under the agreement that Ross would uphold certain duties like promotional drops before the concert, which he never did. On November 10th, 2011, after raising questions about his safety and security in Nigeria, the rapper dropped out of the concert citing “the violent events in Nigeria” as his reason for not attending. The lawsuit claims that not only did Ross fail to meet any of his obligations, but he also failed to return the $87,500 to Zons P.R..
Zons P.R. said that they attempted to renegotiate a future performance when they realized that Ross would not be returning the deposit, but Ross completely refused them.
However,nothing has been heard from Rick Ross camp on the lawsuit against it as at the time of this post . The rapper suffered from numerous health problems in recent past but featured on a remix of Psquare song ‘Beautiful Onyinye’.

‘Before our mum died, she couldn’t recognise us’ – P-Square open up
This is what Peter Okoye,one half of the Psquare twins told Encomium magazine about their mum’s death that occured last week in far away India:“She has been diabetic for years, and when it started many months back, we got good doctors to treat her in Jos. But when we couldn’t get good result, we brought her to Lagos. We took her to St Nicholas Hospital and everybody who went to see her in the hospital cried. She had lost a lot of weight and couldn’t recognise us. She called me Jude. I can never forget that day.
She
went through a lot and gradually she got stabilized thereafter she was
moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) and she spent two to three weeks
there. So we thought of moving her to South Africa, India or the US for
proper check up. We eventually took her to India about four weeks ago
and we talked every one hour. The Indian doctors made sure to clean
everywhere before the surgery, and the operation was successful. Our
sisters who were with her confirmed this to us and we were very happy to
hear the good news. She was okay before the eventual death and for a
day one of my sisters was unconscious because she couldn’t believe it.We wanted to travel to India the following day she died (Thursday July 12) but we changed our plans. Her body arrived Lagos on Sunday July 15th. No concrete arrangement yet on the burial.”
Late Pastor Mrs. Josephine Okoye is survived by seven children and four grandchildren. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
Lady Gaga Goes Naked to Promote Her Perfume
The highly controversial singer is in the news again as she goes totally naked to promote her new fragrance, “Fame”. As is typical of this artiste, everything about the perfume seems weird – even her own comment on it!
The advertisement (which is in black-and-white as can be seen above) features a naked Lady Gaga lying on her side, holding a bottle of her Fame Fragrance and putting on absolutely nothing, save for a black mask on her face. A group of tiny men wearing thongs can be seen crawling over her body, and have been strategically positioned to cover her sensitive parts.
The description for the new fragrance reads:
“(the fragrance has notes of) tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.”
However, Gaga’s personal explanation of the perfume is even more bizarre; the singer has told an Australian radio station that her Fame Fragrance makes you smell like “an expensive hooker.” She says, “[Blood and semen] is in the perfume but it doesn’t smell like it. You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample so it’s like a sense of having me on your skin.” A weird lady indeed!
‘Join Illuminati And Land In Hell’–Pastor Tells D’Banj

Before now, it was being speculated that top Nigerian music star, D’Banj has joined the illuminati group. This perception may have been imagined as a result of D’Banj being signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label.
During the Mohits’ troubled time, it was insinuated that both Don Jazzy and D’Banj fell apart due to illuminati issues. With the Kokomaster’s (as D’Banj is also known as) romance with Kanye West and the Jay Z’s clique got stronger, more people believed that D’Banj was already into the world’s renowned cult group.
Last week Thursday, July 12, 2012, D’Banj was in Lagos for a special prayer service organised for Nigerian celebrities to avert sudden death among them.
The call was made by Pastor Wole Oladiyun, the Senior Pastor of Christ Living Spring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Ogba, Lagos.
A source close to the senior pastor reliably told Nigeriafilms.com that D’Banj was warned by Pastor Oladiyun not to join or be associated with illuminati. We were told that the pastor gave D’Banj this stern warning when he had a chat with him.
He was quoted to have told the ‘Oliver Twist’ singer, “don’t join illuminati if you don’t want to go to hell fire”, the source told Nigeriafilms.com.
We also reliably gathered that D’Banj had a short performance at the service, where he sang his ‘Olorun Maje’ song.
The Illuminati cult was founded on May 1, 1776, in Ingolstadt (Upper Bavaria) as the Order of the Illuminati, with an initial membership of five, by Adam Weishaupt. He was the first lay professor of canon law at the University of Ingolstadt.
The cult was made up of free-thinkers as an offshoot of the Enlightenment and seems to have been modeled on the Freemasons.
